Client: University of New England

Bringing together all 150 faculty from two different colleges was a rare event for the University. I designed the workshop to kick off the day. Recognizing the importance of this event – I wanted to design something unique and different that would get faculty working together from the start. I crafted a mystery that required teams to creatively solve clues to identify a missing administrator. The clues also communicated some of the history of the institution. The response?

“Jen and I want to thank you for the session you ran for today’s bi-college meeting. While framed as an “icebreaker” it really was much more than that: team building, problem-solving, collaboration, strategizing, and fun! Also, the ways in which you connected the material to UNE and our students was brilliant. It was so effective that we would like to explore with you the possibility of building such a session into the standing agenda for our bi-college meetings moving forward.

With great appreciation for your partnership”

This activity was such a hit that it has since been reused by other departments.
